The project aims to remediate agricultural soils contaminated with phthalates (PAEs) through the application of compost and iron nanoparticles. Phthalates, used as plasticizers, pose a serious environmental threat to soil organisms and food safety. Major sources of pollution include film materials, biofertilizers, agrochemicals and wastewater. The project showed high removal efficiency of Di (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) - up to 91.6% under optimal conditions. Compost improves soil texture, increases nutrient and organic matter content, and stimulates the development of suitable microflora.
